“Personally” is a song by Nigerian R&B duo P-Square, released as the second single from their sixth studio album Double Trouble (2014).[1] The music video, directed by Jude Engees Okoye and Clarence Peters, was uploaded onto Vevo on June 21, 2013. It features a cameo appearance from Osita Iheme.[2] Upon its release, the song received positive reviews from many people who were addicted to its catchy beats and lyrical rhyme schemes. As of February 2015, the music video has eclipsed the 37 million views mark on Vevo. “Personally” claimed the number 1 spot on MTV Base’s Official Naija Top 10 Chart from August 10 through August 22 2013.[3]

E No Easy

“E No Easy” is a 2009 song by P-Square featuring J. Martins that was revived as a bilingual French/English song “Positif” by Matt Houston featuring P-Square in 2012 becoming a hit in France.

“E No Easy” is a successful song by P-Square featuring J. Martins that was a hit locally in Nigeria. The song was written by the three singers Peter and Paul Okoye (actually the members of P-Square) and by J. Martins. It is taken from P-Square’s album Danger.

A French version using the music of “E No Easy” and retitled “Positif” became a big hit in France. And after success of the French adaptation, “E No Easy” was also released finding some additional success in France in 2012.

In 2011, French-Algerian rapper El Matador had also included a mix of “E No Easy” credited to “El Matador feat P-Square” in his mixtape release Escale sur la lune.[1] adding French rap verses, raï influences and additional Spanish lyrics to the track.

“Chop My Money” is a song by Nigerian R&B duo P-Square, released as the second single from their fifth studio album The Invasion (2011). It features vocals from Akon and May D. Upon its release, the song was met with positive reviews. The music video was directed by Jude Engees Okoye and Ben Marc. It was released on February 23, 2012 and has since eclipsed the 16 million views mark on YouTube. P-Square recorded the song shortly after signing a partnership deal with Akon’s Konvict Muzik.[2][3]

“Alingo” is a song by Nigerian R&B duo P-Square, released as the first and only single from their Greatest Hits compilation album.[1] The song is also the lead single from their sixth studio album, Double Trouble (2014). Upon its release, it eclipsed the 5 million views mark on YouTube. It peaked at number one on MTV Base’s Official Naija Top 10 Chart from March 22 through March 28, 2013, surpassing 2 Face Idibia’s “Ihe Neme”.[2] It was originally leaked to the public. The duo recorded the song prior to the “Love AfroBeats Festival” that occurred at the HMV Apollo in London.[3]

“Beautiful Onyinye” is a song by Nigerian R&B duo P-Square, released as the third single from their fifth studio album The Invasion. The song features American rap sensation Rick Ross. Upon its release, the song was met with positive reviews. The music video for the single eclipsed the 13 million views mark on YouTube. P-Square recorded the song shortly after signing partnership deals with Akon’s Konvict Muzik and Universal Music Group.[1][2][3]

Bank Alert

“Bank Alert” is a 2016 song by Nigerian pop duo P-Square. It was recorded in Igbo and Pidgin English and samples lyrics from “Iyogo” by Onyeka Onwenu.[1] It was released as a free download on 15 September and the next day, the accompanying music video was released on YouTube.[2] The video was directed by Clarence Peters and Jude Okoye with cameo appearances by Phyno, Harrysong, Kcee, Onyeka Onwenu and Mr. Ibu among others.[3]

As of 22 September 2016, “Bank Alert” has received over one million views.[4]

A reviewer from Okay Africa described it as a “catchy song built on light guitars, bubbly synthesizers and a shuffling beat.”[2]
